What does the day rental fee include?

The rental fee can vary based on the size of the event and day of your event. The rental fee includes full access to the private country estate, 3200 sq. ft. main venue, beautiful pool with limestone waterfall, on-site facility manager,  up to 12 hours of rental time, one hour rehearsal the day prior to your event, free engagement photos session with your photographer, bride’s dressing suite with fully equipped salon, grooms den, family dressing suite, caterers kitchen, parking for up to 150 cars and a bus turn around, 3 outdoor restrooms with 1 ADA approved facility, 5 - serving tables and 8 - 60" round tables, ceremony sound system and full lighting package with festoon lights and a photo board. Premier Events on Manchaca Rd. offers chair and table rentals with delivery available.

What is the maximum number of guests you can accommodate?

Merryvale can comfortably seat 300 guests in our two most popular ceremony sites. Clients may also set the stage with a dance floor, with guests seated outside under our mantel of towering oaks. We have small intimate sites that can seat up to 50 of your family and friends for smaller events.

How many hours do you allow for an event?

Our standard rental agreement provides full access to Merryvale for 12 hours, including vendor setup and teardown.

Can we choose our own vendors?

Yes, although our vendors are highly recommended, so we encourage you to check them out - and save yourself some time.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?

Yes. You are allowed to bring your own alcohol or have it delivered the day of your event. All alcoholic beverages must be served by a TABC certified bartender.

Can you “flip” the rooms throughout event?

Yes. It is common to use one space for multiple purposes (ceremony, reception, cocktail hour, etc.) throughout your event.

Are there areas we won’t have access to?

Yes, guests will have access to the venue, outdoor restrooms, front area of the venue, fenced backyard with swimming pool and designated parking areas. 

Will we need to bring sound equipment?

We do provide ceremony sound equipment and we are electrically equipped for any audio and visual production needs you may require. Typically, a DJ or band prefers to bring in their own equipment.

Is there a noise ordinance?

Hays County does restrict amplified sound to 80 decibels.

What is the main house like?

We offer a gorgeous bridal suite with a fully equipped hair and make-up salon and floor length mirrors. A groom's den with flat screen and access to the pool and a family dressing suite for the rest of the group.

Will our guests have to pay to park? is valet available?

Merryvale offers parking for up to 200 cars, a bus turn around and bus parking as well. All guest parking is complimentary. Valet services are available for hire and we have great recommendations on our preferred vendor list.

Is lodging available?

The main house sleeps up to 10. Separate fees apply for any overnight accommodation and is subject to our schedule and availability.  Seasonal rates apply on accommodations and are subject to availability.

Do you allow clients to bring in décor? candles/open flame?

Clients are allowed to bring their own decorations and open flames are allowed, contingent upon county-imposed burn ban restrictions.

Is this a seasonal venue?

Merryvale is available to rent all year around.

Do you host multiple events per day?

We guarantee that your event will be the only event happening at Merryvale on your special day.

Is Merryvale pet friendly?

The property is not fenced so your furry child must be on a leash. We ask that you bring all of the accommodations your pet will need and that he or she is up to date on vaccinations. Pets are allowed with prior approval from property owner or manager.
